Member Biography:

Phillip H. Wayt

Phil Wayt is executive director of the Washington Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association founded in 1934 as a business association representing Washington State's beer and wine distributors. He has held this position for twenty-one years.

Prior to his move to Washington in 1985, Phil was executive director of the Wholesale Beer and Wine Association of Ohio. Before joining the Ohio distributors, for six years he was vice president of governmental affairs for the Ohio Trucking Association. Prior to that position he was a trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Phil has served in board positions and as president of the Wholesale Beer Association Executives which represents all beer distributor association executives in the United States. For many years he was a board member of the Washington Society of Association Executives. He currently serves on the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) Beer Legal Issues Review Team and is also a member of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) Advisory Council.
