Betty Sundquist, Paul Bell, and
Gladys Myers, all former employees of the Kirkland Liquor Store #57, were present at the Seattle Police Museum on Thursday, August 1, 2002, as
Paul Bell was honored for 44 years of public service. Mr. Bell served as follows:
- Deputy, King County Sheriff’s Office, 1937-1942
- U. S. Navy, 1942 – 1945
- Kirkland Police Department, 1945-1957
- Chief of Police, Issaquah Police Department 1957
- Liquor Store Manager, Washington State Liquor Control Board, 1957-1973
Mr. Bell presented the Seattle Police Museum, at 317 Third Avenue South, Seattle,
with memorabilia from his early career with the King County Sheriff’s office.
Mr. Bell was presented with certificates of recognition from King County Sheriff Dave Reichert, Kirkland Police Chief Stan Aston, Issaquah Police Chief Dave Draveling, and
Agent Russ Donahue, of the Liquor Control Board’s Enforcement and Education Division.
Mr. Bell is 90 years old.
