LIQUOR AND TOBACCO COMPLIANCE CHECKS

April 2004

• There were 500 locations visited during liquor compliance checks completed in the month of April 2004.
  
• A total of 72 liquor licensed businesses sold liquor to underage operatives.
  
• The percent of liquor noncompliance for April is 14.6%.
  
• The rolling 12-month average of liquor noncompliance (5/03-4/04) is 18.7%.
• 2441 liquor compliance checks were conducted during 1/04 – 4/04 and 390 of them sold to a minor.

• There were 341 locations visited during tobacco compliance checks completed in the month of April 2004.
  
• A total of 36 tobacco licensed businesses sold tobacco to underage operatives.
  
• The percent of tobacco noncompliance for April 2004 is 10.6%.
  
• The rolling 12-month average of tobacco noncompliance (5/03 -4/04) is 14.9%.
• 1242 tobacco compliance checks were conducted during 1/04 – 4/04 and 138 of them sold to a minor.
