LIQUOR AND TOBACCO COMPLIANCE CHECKS

• There were 660 locations visited during liquor compliance checks completed in the month of May 2004.
  
• A total of 122 liquor licensed businesses sold liquor to underage operatives.
  
• The percent of liquor noncompliance for May is 18.5%.
  
• The rolling 12-month average of liquor noncompliance (6/03-5/04) is 18.5%.
• 3101 liquor compliance checks were conducted during 1/04 – 5/04 and 492 of them sold to a minor.

• There were 214 locations visited during tobacco compliance checks completed in the month of May 2004.
  
• A total of 23 tobacco licensed businesses sold tobacco to underage operatives.
  
• The percent of tobacco noncompliance for May 2004 is 10.7%.
  
• The rolling 12-month average of tobacco noncompliance (6/03 -5/04) is 9.6%.
• 1456 tobacco compliance checks were conducted during 1/04 – 5/04 and 154 of them sold to a minor.
