Sedro Woolley- The AmPm Mini
Mart, located at 836 Moore Street in Sedro Woolley, will begin a 30 day liquor license
suspension for selling alcohol to a minor. The suspension begins at 10am, March 28, and
will last till 10am, April 27.
The joint investigation, by the Liquor Control Board and the Sedro Woolley Police
Department, revealed the clerk sold alcohol to a 20 year old at approximately 1:50am
October 25, 1999.
The buyer and seller both received criminal citations. The clerk was put in jail on $150
bond forfeiture in Sedro Woolley Municipal Court and was also terminated from AmPm. The
minor paid a $150 fine and is on 24 month's probation.
This is AmPms third violation for selling alcohol to a minor in the past two years.
Their first violation was on 6/22/98 in which they paid a $500 fine and the second
violation took place on 8/21/98 in which they received a seven day license suspension.
The Liquor Control Board, whose enforcement division is charged with overseeing liquor
licensed establishments, often work with local police on cases of alcohol sales to minors
and other liquor law violations.
