EMERGENCY LICENSE SUSPENSION FOR BARBECUE INN

Tacoma- The Liquor Control Board issued a 30 day emergency suspension to the Barbecue Inn, located at 14801 Union Avenue Southwest in Lakewood. The liquor license privileges of William & June Rutherford, doing business as Barbecue Inn, are suspended effective September 2, 1999 through October 2, 1999.

The emergency suspension was served after an investigation by the Lakewood Police Department revealed employees were trafficking cocaine in the establishment.

The Liquor Control Board may suspend a liquor license for up to thirty days when drug activity occurs in an establishment and the welfare, health and safety of the community are at risk.
