October 14, 1999 CITIZEN REVIEW PANEL HOLDS PUBLIC HEARINGS Olympia- The 13-member Citizen Review Panel, appointed by Governor Locke to explore the Washington State Liquor Control Board's enforcement activities, will hold two public hearings this month. "The intent of the hearings is to identify areas of concern within the Liquor Control Board's regulatory activities and to solicit solutions" said Panel Chair, Charlie Earl. Questions posed in the hearings will include "How has liquor and/or tobacco law enforcement by the Liquor Control Board affected you?" and "What solutions/actions would you propose to resolve identified issues?" Following are the hearing dates and locations:
The Panel began their review of the Board's regulatory activities September 1. The two public hearings are an essential part of the Panel's final report due to the Governor and the Liquor Control Board December 1, 1999.
