HOOLIGAN'S PUB & BISTRO LIQUOR LICENSE CANCELED

Burlington- The Liquor Control Board canceled the liquor license for Dent Inc., doing business as Hooligan's Pub & Bistro, located at 320 West Rio Vista Avenue. The cancellation of the liquor license went into effect Monday, August 30, 1999.

The Liquor Control Board's Bellingham enforcement office received a complaint concerning the true party of interest of Dent Inc. After a thorough investigation by Board agents, the licensee was charged with the following violations of liquor regulations:

1. liquor licensee not reflecting true party of interest (hidden partner),
2. unauthorized change of corporate officer/stockholder,
3. failing to furnish information to the Board, and
4. misrepresenting facts to the Board.

On March 10, 1999, an administrative hearing on the case was held before Administrative Law Judge James Stanford. On April 26, 1999 Judge Stanford issued his ruling affirming all counts listed above.

In addition, the Skagit County prosecutor filed criminal charges against Dent Inc., President Douglas Davidson for false or misleading statements made to a Liquor Control Board agent. A $500 penalty was paid by the licensee.
