30
DAY EMERGENCY LIQUOR LICENSE SUSPENSION ISSUED TO LYNNWOOD BAR & GRILL
Lynnwood- Liquor
licensee, Xenos-Bjorkquist, Inc. doing business as the Outabounz Sports Bar & Grill,
located at 4308 198th Street in Lynnwood, began a 30 day emergency liquor license
suspension for knowing and permitting drug activity on the premises. The emergency
suspension began March 27 and will last through April 25.
In December 1999 an undercover investigation was conducted by the South Snohomish County
Drug Task Force. The investigation resulted in numerous drug purchases from two different
employees on the premises.
The liquor license is suspended for 30 days while the Liquor Control Board takes
administrative action to revoke the liquor license along with three alcohol server
permits. Criminal charges will be filed with the Snohomish County prosecutors
office.
"The Liquor Control Board issues emergency suspensions when it is felt the
publics safety is jeopardized by allowing the establishment to remain open,"
said Chief of Enforcement Rick Philips.
The Outabounz Sports Bar & Grill has a past violation for sale and service to a minor
on November 26, 1999.
The Liquor Control Board, whose enforcement division is charged with overseeing liquor
licensed establishments, often work with local police on cases of criminal activity and
other liquor law violations.
