Grays Harbor- Liquor Control Board enforcement agents conducted 15 tobacco compliance checks on Monday, November 25, in the Grays Harbor County area. During the compliance checks a 15 or 16 year old will enter either a restaurant or a grocery store to attempt to buy cigarettes. Of the 15 compliance checks, none of the businesses checked sold cigarettes to a minor:
The Liquor Control Board commends the following businesses for passing Monday’s compliance checks:

- Hoquiam Market 223 K St.,Hoquiam
- Gambur’s Restaurant & Lounge 708 Simpson Ave., Hoquiam
- Trio’s Bar & Grill 716 Simpson, Hoquiam
- 101 Bar & Grill 322 Lincoln St., Hoquiam
- Lincoln St. Grocery 814 Lincoln St., Hoquiam
- Tesoro 2 Go #62151 220 Lincoln St., Hoquiam
- Golden Dragon Restaurant 710-712 Simpson Ave., Hoquiam
- 7-11 Store 2303-22261D 201 Lincoln St., Hoquiam
- VFW Aberdeen 224 105 ½ E. Heron St., Aberdeen
Clerks who sell tobacco to a minor receive a $50 fine for a first time offense. Licensees receive a penalty based on the following guidelines:
- First offense $100 dollar fine,
- Second offense $300 dollar fine,
- Third offense $1,000 dollar fine with a six-month license suspension and,
- Fourth offense is a $1,500 dollar fine with a 12-month license suspension.
