Emergency Liquor License Suspension for Ridgefield Food Center

August 27, 2004

 

Ridgefield – The Liquor Control Board issued a 180-day emergency liquor license suspension to the licensee of the Ridgefield Food Center for allegedly engaging in criminal activity on the liquor licensed premises. 

The emergency suspension comes after the August 11 arrest of the licensee, Tong Hyok Yi, by the Ridgefield Police Department, for two counts of indecent liberties, a felony.  The alleged crimes took place on two separate occasions on the licensed premises.  

The liquor license suspension will be in effect August 25, 2004 through February 20, 2005.  Mr. Yi was issued an administrative violation notice for allegedly engaging in criminal conduct on a licensed premises with a recommended penalty of license cancellation. 

There have been no previous liquor violations at the Ridgefield Food Center
