The Washington State Liquor Control Board seeks proposals from
qualified individuals to develop a new type of full-service contract
liquor store in West Richland. The proposed store would carry an
expanded product line similar to that available in state stores.
Minimum store hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Proposed store must have a minimum 2,100 square feet. All expenses
(lease, equipment, staff) would be born by contract store manager. A
minimum investment of $5,000 may be required. Contract manager must be
on site to manage day-to-day operations. The store may be combined
with a compatible business. The applicant selected must be available
for training, orientation, reviews and updates through the contract
term.
The new contract store will replace the existing West Richland store
in an area with high retail traffic.
Application and Information Packets are available by contacting the
Retail Services Division in Olympia at 360-664-1789, or 360-664-1653.
The Liquor Control Board is committed to equal opportunity in all
aspects of contractual agreements. The last day to request an
Application and Information Packet is Nov. 1, 2005, and a completed
Application must be received at WSLCB Headquarters no later than the
close of business on Nov. 14, 2005.
Candidates are scored on their business plans, personal interviews,
and proposed site location.
