OLYMPIA -The Washington State Liquor Control Board
(WSLCB) is offering free, one-day classes for Korean-speaking
licensees titled "Responsible Liquor and Tobacco Sales."Classes will
be held in both Seattle and Olympia throughout 2008.
A Korean-speaking WSLCB representative will present information on:
- Acceptable forms of identification for the purchase of
alcohol and tobacco
- Recognizing and dealing with over-service of alcohol
Seattle Classes
Location: WSLCB Seattle Distribution Center (4401 E.
Marginal Way S)
Upcoming Dates: March 12, April 9, May 14
Time: Classes run from 10 a.m. to noon.
Olympia Classes
Location: WSLCB Olympia Field Office (921 Lakeridge Way SW, Suite
301)
Upcoming Dates: March 26, April 23, May 28
Time: Classes run from 10 a.m. to noon.
All persons involved in the sale of liquor and tobacco or the
service of alcoholic beverages are encouraged to attend. Restaurant
and grocery store employees, servers, bartenders, security guards,
and others would all benefit from such training.
The training will help businesses succeed by:
- Preventing tobacco and liquor law violations
- Improving customer relations
- Reducing licensee and server legal liability
